Creative Director (Partner)
At Thread Studio, we transform the way customers and stakeholders experience brands, by taking advantage of data, design, unique storytelling and digital capabilities. We work in partnership with our clients to provide tailored solutions fit for their unique business needs.
As a Creative Director, you will ideate, conceptualise and bring to life ideas that transform the way customers and other stakeholders relate to and interact with brands. You will help clients take advantage of unique narratives (visual and verbal) across multiple touchpoints. You will also be instrumental in building the creative community around Thread Studio, making it a platform - for learning, collaborating and being inspired.
We are looking for partners that want to grow with us, putting in the work with a view of managing this function, long-term. We are flexible in how we work and that equips us for survival in the global industry. Leads work part-time or full-time on client projects.
You’ll likely work on
Overseeing and/or contributing to the development of;
Brand identity - visual language, tone, key messaging
Integrated campaigns
Content (art and copy) across platforms - advertising, social media, print, website and more
Visual production - photography, film, graphic design and more
Immersive experiences
You’ll be expected to
Understand the client’s business, customer needs, opportunities and behaviours in order to develop fitting ideas and concepts
Lead the creative team and every stage of production from concept to delivery, keeping to deadlines, and signing off on deliverables before they are presented
Pitch concepts to clients and team
Take responsibility for the creative philosophy and the standard of creative output across the agency
Contribute to strategy on all marketing and creative projects
Partner with strategists on the development of solid creative briefs
Build a creative environment for the internal and external creative team (artists, photographers, copywriters, filmmakers, designers etc) to work in
Liaise with clients to keep them informed and to highlight any issues
Understand the commercial aspects of the agency and how Studio works with other arms
Hire and manage the creative team
Source freelance talent and/or agency partners on projects and manage the entire process from bid to award, to ensure high-quality creative executions
Network and socialise regularly with clients and attend a range of industry events and exhibitions
Working at the cutting edge of new technology - you will be expected to grasp changes in technical innovation across multiple platforms.
The requirements
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to inspire the creative team to give their best
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills in order to make outstanding pitches
Plenty of creative ideas and an understanding of the clients' vision
Agency experience is a plus
An awareness of the fundamentals and current trends in advertising, social media, content, immersive experiences and other experience elements
A self-starting attitude and an open outlook
An understanding of how creative roles complement other depts. and arms
Knowledge of the software and applications involved in the creative process
Skills in managing people, projects and resources.
