Lead Marketing Strategist
As a Marketing Strategist, you will be working with clients to create and improve their marketing and customer approach, whilst being the strategy compass for the Studio team. You’ll be a generalist, someone great at connecting the dots across touch points for maximum impact. Primary area of capabilities includes; Market Research and Analysis, Customer Strategy, Brand Development, Communications, Campaigns and Digital Marketing. We want a strategist who sees marketing as key to realising top-level organisational goals.
You will be joining the Strategy and Studio team as a self-starter owning and managing projects from start to finish. We want people who aren't scared to experiment and are happy to fill the blank sheets with ideas.
Leads are an instrumental part of our growth and business development, for which they are also rewarded. We are looking for partners that want to grow with us, putting in the work with a view of managing this function, long-term. We are flexible in how we work and that equips us for survival in the global industry. Leads work part-time or full-time on client projects.
You’ll likely work on
Auditing client’s current marketing approach
Researching markets, demographics, trends, sales results, and other data related to the client's products or services to inform marketing strategy
Drawing up branding, positioning and targeting strategy
Developing customer personas and customer journeys
Effective communication strategies and campaigns, within the clients budget
Digital marketing (social media, digital advertising, email etc) and analytics
Product development and extension strategies
Integrating the marketing mix
Setting benchmarks and methods to track marketing performance over time
Implementation of strategies requested by the client
Creating briefs for the Studio team to ensure execution is in line with client expectations
Contributing to clients creative strategy with the Studio team
You’ll be expected to
Lead Projects
Manage client project from brief through to completion
Organise and manage specialists and sub-contractors to work on projects
Set objectives and evaluate project success against benchmarks
Ensure quality standards are continuously met
Liaise with directors on costing and billing
Manage Client Expectations
Manage the day-to-day client service requirements
Report to the client on project progress and manage expectations
Disseminate necessary documents to clients
Present strategy and plans to clients
Contribute to Business Development
Identify new business opportunities
Attend key industry events to network and build contacts
Prepare proposals
Take the initiative to follow through to generate new client projects
The requirements
Experience working in marketing and communications. Agency experience is a plus
Strategic but also creative
An understanding of all areas of the marketing mix
Interested in consumer dynamics, business dynamics and the changing media and digital landscape
Project management skills
Ability to build strong client relationships
Ability to lead a team but also work well in a team
Confident in structuring ideas and solutions but also communicating them effectively
Ability to generate new work and follow-through - from existing and new clients
Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch
University degree - preferably Business, Marketing, Advertising or evidence of grasp of key concepts
